QuranWorks

Bringing the Quran into the digital realm with polished branding, intricate application design and ornate print material.

The branding, brochure, marbled business cards, stationery and design elements for QuranWorks, an interactive application, were designed with the classical style of the printed Quran in mind.

To meet QuranWorks multilingual needs, the logo icon intelligently blended the letter “Q” with the Arabic “qaaf”; this harmonious combination of English and Arabic continued across all platforms and complimented the application’s educational features such as audio recitation and translation.

The QuranWorks app had a skeumorphic design (where digital mimics paper) that brought the aesthetic of the finest cotton papers and craft printing techniques to a modern device. The app design’s borders, icons and frontispiece, designed by Inspiral Design, were mirrored in the QuranWorks: Introducing the Quran in the Digital Age promotional brochure that featured a bespoke foiled and embossed slipcase. Both the brochure and slipcase featured an elaborate pattern drawn by a commissioned artist and benefitted from the highest quality reproduction.
