Calligraphic Postcards

Inspiral Design took traditional printing processes used for manuscripts and applied them to modern printing to create gorgeous gold and silver foil-blocked calligraphic postcards for the Museum of Islamic Art, Qatar.

Featuring cropped details of timeless calligraphic compositions by Soraya Syed, Art of the Pen, each postcard in the set of five showed a different calligraphy style – square Kufic, Thuluth, Maghribi and Diwani script.

Accentuated by vivid contrasting colours, the postcards were distinctly different from one another and were sold in a chic die-cut black and silver foil-blocked slipcase. The cards were shuffle-packed to reveal a different design through the die-cut slipcase, which made them an enticing product for sale in the Museum‘s shop, often framed by customers as little pieces of art.
